Polar Grade PVC

Our Polar Grade clear PVC is designed for use in freezers and cold stores.

Slightly softer than our standard grade at 63° Sh A it will remain flexible at temperatures down to -40° C. making it the material of choice to retain cold air and keep warm air out.

If you have a requirement for chiller cabinets or cold rooms operating down to -10° C. we would recommend our standard grade.

For small openings for mainly pedestrian use, we recommend the 200mm x 2mm PVC as it’s easy to negotiate. If your opening is heavy use, i.e., forklift truck access is required we advise on the thicker wider grades like the 300mm x 3mm or even 400mm x 4mm, especially if the doorway is very high.
